The patient should take the minimum dose that provides effective symptom relief with tolerable side effects.
It is recommended that patients start by taking inhalation and wait 15 min to assess effects. If desired effect has not been achieved, they may increase by 1 inhalation every 15–30 min until desired symptom control has been achieved.
Ideally, the patient would start using a THC predominant preparation at bedtime to limit adverse events and encourage development of tolerance.
Key notes to find a suitable titration point:
• Start dosing in the evening and separate doses by at least six hours
• Maintain a consistent dosing schedule and increase dosing incrementally
• Gradually increase the dosing quantity (if needed) until you find the optimal dose
• Adjust the timing of treatment based on the severity and type of symptoms .
